We are going Camping!!!!

We head out tomorrow. This will be Rylee's first camp. We are going to Lincoln with 2 other couples, The Hopkins and The Rexings. We rented a 4 bedroom cabin. Really roughing it, aren't we? No, really, we won't have any running water or bathrooms. That is roughing it when you have a total of 6 adults and 6 little kids.

Craig says he is ready to go tent camping. I told him we better do it soon before it gets too hot.

We now have 2 campers and both of them are not useable. Both need LOTS of work. I hope we can get the one finished before summer is out.

I have also been working on our Gatlinburg trip with Vanessa in June. That is really going to be fun. So far, only 6 families have committed to the trip. This trip is consisting of all the friends we have made during and after our adoption of Rylee. I call it " Circle of Friends*From Guatemala*To America*And in Between" I think I might make up some t-shirts.

This looks like it will be our BIG summer family vacation. Wyatt really wants to go to Disney World but I think that will have to be next year.

Well, sort-of. Last week we had a Disaster Drill (Tornado) here at Holiday World. Craig was a "Victim". He asked if he could do something on his own. Reluctantly, they approved it. Well, noone expected to find him hanging in a tree.
It is a little spooky to see him like this.

Camping season has begun!

Our summer weekends are getting full. We love camping! Next weekend we will be camping at Lincoln State Park. We and two other couples and their kids are going to be staying in a cabin. The weekend will be a jam-packed-fun weekend.

We also just made our reservations for Gatlinburg. We will be spending all weekend with some great friends we have made since we started our adoption.

Dada's on a health kick!

I have discovered my husband has secretly been working out! What’s up with that!
OK, Now I have to go on a diet and work out too. I will use him to inspire me, ugh!

We went to Evansville for emergency shoe shopping for my skinny husband last night. Craig got a pair of tennis shoes. He hadn’t worn a pair of tennis shoes in over 10 years. Isn’t that crazy! We also went to a bike shop to look at a couple of bicycles while we were there. TOO MUCH $$! He and Rylee are going to go to Wal-Mart today to look at bikes and grocery shop.

Yesmi is 4yrs old. She is in kindergarten. She lives in Panajachel with her mother, Estella. 33yrs old. The father left the family to live with another woman 1yr ago. Estella was pregnant with the fifth child when he left. He does not pay any support for the children and is not responsible for them in anyway. The children are Baker 13yrs, he is in 7th grade, Boris 12yrs he is in 6th grade, Yesmi 4yrs old in kindergarten and Analidy 1yr old.
Estella makes money washing clothes by hand in various houses. She makes approx. $2.60 US per day. They live with their grandparents. Estella's parents have given her a room to live in but cannot help her with any expenses she has. She is very fortunate not to have to pay rent. The house is made of wooden planks. They have a concrete floor. They only have one room for all of them to sleep in and Estella also cooks in that room. They have only 2 beds for them all to sleep in.

Their are many other children and families that need sponsoring. HINT! HINT!

Aunt Marilyn is coming to Louisville!

Marilyn my aunt is coming on a visit to Louisville from New York. This will be the first time she will meet Rylee and she hasn't seen Wyatt since he was a baby. We will be heading to Louisville after work on Friday and spending the weekend at Mammaws AGAIN! Third weekend in a row. You can tell I haven't been home much, the house is a wreck. I hope it warms up some more, it's 58 degrees now and that rain stays away.

Aren't they cute! All dressed up in their matching Easter outfits. By the way, Thank you Children's Place. This was the only place I could find that I could match my kid's outfits.

Wyatt has been telling lots of Knock Knock jokes latley. Now Rylee say "Knock, knock" So Cute! When you ask "Who's there?" she says "Blah, Blah" and laughs so hard. You gotta see it! They both had me cracking up this morning on the was to child care. They really are the cutest!
