There is Another Girls Panties in My Laundry Basket!!!

It is official Rylee is potty trained. We have been working with her for 2 weeks now and she has gone 3 days without any accidents. We are so proud of our little girl. She wants so much to be big and do the things that Brother does.

Wyatt is also doing really good on his bicycle. We have been walking the kids to the park and he has ridden his bike. Tonight he had a bit of a meltdown. I think he was over tired. Now we have something he absolutely loves to hang over his head when he misbehaves. He started back talking his daddy and we made him get off his bike and push it the rest of the way home. I bet we won't have many of those outbursts any more.

Rylee's 2nd Birthday

A Birthday weekend for Rylee

Saturday Birthday #2 part A
We got up early at Mammaw house and Rylee and I went to have her 2nd birthday photos taken. Daddy Brother and Mammaw went to the Louisville Zoo. Rylee did so good having her pictures taken . I was only going to get the package deal but I couldn't resist all the good photos.

Birthday #2 part B
After the party at Mammaws we came home to get ready for the next party. This one we had at Yellig Park. It was very hot but there was a real nice breeze blowing. Rylee had lots of help opening her presents. Look at her little cheeks! She was so hot.

Catching up!!!

I have some catching up to do!
Wyatt was sent home from school with CHICKEN-POX'S! Do you believe Chicken-Pox?! I was shocked. They were not bad at all, a very mild case. I ended up staying home with him and Rylee Friday. Rylee never caught them. Maybe because her vaccination was more recent than Wyatt's. Who knows?

Saturday 9/15 was our 6th year anniversary. How did we celebrate you ask? We did not find a sitter and go to out for dinner and movie or go on a quick trip somewhere together! We took our kids camping!

When Craig and I dated we would come home from work on a Friday afternoon and just pack up and head off to camp. No big plans just throw everything we thought we would need into the back of his truck and go! It was great times!

Well, that was Craig's plan when we got home Friday. What did I do? I shot it all down! I told him it sounded good BUT!!!!! Wyatt was getting over his Chicken-Pox, I just started Potty-Training Rylee and now that we have 2 kids, there is NO WAY we could just up and go! Poor Craig, he pouted for a while then said we are at least going to Lincoln Park to bike ride. So he loaded us up and we went.

WELL, As soon as I felt that crisp fresh air and smelled the campfires and saw all the families enjoying themselves, I turned to Craig and said... " Let's camp! " While he said nothing and gave me dirty looks I begged and finally convinced him to go straight back home and gather our stuff and come back to Lincoln. Hooray!!!

Wyatt had a great time practising riding his bike. We don't have anywhere he can practise at home. He got so much better in just those 2 days.

We ran into a little boy that is in his class at pre-school named Kolton. Come to find out his mom and Craig were in the same classes in school too. SMALL WORLD! We ended up visiting with them most of the weekend and Wyatt was invited to Kolton's birthday party on Tuesday.

Kolton's party was at Pump-It-Up! Wyatt had a great time and 2 of his other friends from school were there too. They were all so cute together. Listen to what their names are... Wyatt, Kolton, Houston and Jesse. Sounds like a cowboy gang. Doesn't it? Lord help us all in about 10 years!!! LOL!!!
PS. Rylee really did love camping even though you can't tell by the pictures!

Time to practice your scary face!

Wyatt has years of practice on Rylee! I told Wyatt he needed to start thinking of who he wanted to be for Halloween. Somehow we got on the subject of scary faces. This is the best they could do.

Everybody dies famous in a small town!

My husband should run for Mayor!
We went to the Dale Fall Fest on Saturday. What a great bunch of small town fun we had. We watched the parade.

Wyatt rode a few rides. Some I would not let him ride, they sounded and looked horribly dangerous. Rylee was smart she didn't want to ride any of them. Grandpa Kenny said they looked like the same ones they had when he was a kid. I think they were.

We ran into about 100 people I did not know but Craig knows. I was getting a little frustrated but hiding it well when Wyatt clearly showed that he was tired of Daddy stopping every 10 feet or so to talk to somebody new. It did take us a while to get from point A to B.
Finally we made it to the "Pig Wrestling Contest" Smart me ,decided to take Wyatt, cut in front of a bunch of people and sit on the grass up front. Well, we got a little muddy. Head to toe! It freaked me out at first but then I decided to wear the mud with pride for the rest of the time we were there. Daddy and Rylee sat way on the other side and stayed clean. This is Wyatt after we got home. The picture does not do justice to the mud I had in the tub after his bath.
Rylee woke up feeling icky Saturday. Just a cold but you can always tell when she does not feel well. I gave her some cold medicine for her runny nose and she and I headed out to the Rylee and I went to our SIFTGA (Southern Indiana Families Thru Guatemalan Adoption) play date at the mall in Evansville. We ended up 1/2 hour late but I think we met everyone that had come. We will definitely go again. A picture of Rylee when she does not feel well. She is still just as pretty!

And the winner is!!!!!

The little boy sitting NEXT to Wyatt! Wyatt did really well. The plan was for Wyatt to recite "Little Miss Muffet" holding a stick with a spider on the end. Then drop it on daddy's shoulder and daddy would run away screaming. It did not go exactly as planned but it worked. The little boy sitting next to Wyatt was very cute and sang the whole "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" song and was down right adorable, too. Wyatt got a red ribbon and he was happy.
Craig wore his dress but for such a short time, I did not even get a picture. I think I can get him to wear it for Halloween if I start working on him now.
Rylee thought daddy was hysterical but she would not let him near her dressed like that. She was busy making salad using the Miss Muffet bowl and grass.

"What is going to happen to me!!!!????"

Last night after Wyatt's little rehearsal for the Dale Fall Fest Little Mister Contest, I let him and Rylee go play on their playground. Man, that playground must be made for bigger kids, like 8 or 9. Rylee couldn't even reach the first step.
Well, Wyatt kept on trying to reach the monkey bars from the landing and falling. He must had landed pretty well because he kept doing it and saying it didn't hurt. Then he turns to me and says "Look Mom, watch me do this".
I have been told story of a little boy that spoke those same words to his mother then fell off the monkey bars and broke his arm. That little boy is now my husband and the story has stuck in my head because my son is just like his Daddy.
Yep, then CRASH! Right on his Butt and hands. He seemed shocked that it actually hurt. I picked him up ,crying and sat him down on the curb, still crying. Then he saw the blood on his hand. It wasn't a bad cut but it was bleeding pretty good. He looks up at me panicked as if he never bled before and said "What is going to happen to me!!!???" I never realized how sheltered my son is until that moment. TO BE CONTINUED!

Little Mister Contest - Dale Fall Fest

Wyatt is going to be in the "Little Mister Contest" We are going to rehearsal tonight then the contest is tomorrow night at 6:30pm. The theme is Nursery Rhymes. The children are to wear their pajamas and recite a nursery rhyme or sing a song. You can use props too. I am not going to give it away but lets just say Daddy will be wearing a dress and be a prop. I hope Wyatt wins. He wants so badly to be in the parade on Saturday. TO BE CONTINUED!
